Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 on the action ‘Keep informed on risk-based screening and AI technology’ under ‘Goal 4: Looking to the workforce of the future‘ within the BreastScreen Aotearoa Workforce Development Strategy 2022 – 2032?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised during the January to March 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand continued to keep itself informed on evidence for a number of risk-based screening approaches and Artificial Intelligence technologies, including where these are being utilised across the health system. I also refer the Member to Written Parliamentary Question 38142 (2024).
