Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 on the action ‘Develop opt-off strategy’ under ‘Goal 4: Looking to the workforce of the future‘ within the BreastScreen Aotearoa Workforce Development Strategy 2022 – 2032?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised during the January to March 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand undertook co-design with its breast screening lead providers and screening support service providers to develop the opt-off strategy. Consultation with key stakeholders is continuing during the strategy's development.
