38076 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: What is the current number of homes expected to be delivered at Hobsonville Point, Northcote, Roskill, Oranga, Māngere, Tāmaki, Lakeside, and Te Rā Nui, and how does that compare to the number originally planned prior to Kāinga Ora’s 2024-2025 financial reset, broken down by urban development large-scale project?
Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that projected housing numbers fluctuate slightly throughout the entire build programme as build partners confirm final yields for their sites, generally when resource consent is processed. The only yields that have changed in response to the financial reset are the removal of Roskill - Wesley West (637 homes) and Mangere - Otaki o Te Wai (398 homes).
The current projected yields compared to projected yields prior to the financial reset are:
• Hobsonville Point – 4115 (no change)
• Northcote: 1559 (previously 1617)
• Roskill - 2781 (previously 3358, and including the Wesley West reduction)
• Oranga – 1263 (previously 1316)
• Mangere – 3940 (previously 4455 and including the Otaki o te Wai reduction)
• Tamaki – 3621 (no change)
• Lakeside – 1303 (no change)
• Te Ra Nui – 593 (previously 600).
