38040 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: How many high-risk investment assurance reviews of the Fleetwide Road User Charges programme have been conducted since 31 January 2025, and if none, at what point is the next such review scheduled?

Hon Chris Bishop: No high-risk investment assurance reviews have been conducted since the Gateway Review completed on 31 January 2025. Following that review, the programme scope was reduced to enabling an open Road User Charges (RUC) provider market and de-labellisation. The next planned assurance activity is a Readiness Independent Quality Assurance review during the pre-implementation phase, currently scheduled for December 2026.
