38036 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What is the anticipated cost to taxpayers for the two alliance arrangements for the Ōtaki to north of Levin highway, and how will these costs be monitored to prevent overruns?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised by NZTA that the anticipated cost of the two alliance agreements is $1.4 billion. To minimise the risk of cost overruns, monthly cost and design reviews are conducted by NZTA throughout the project.
