Hon Chris Bishop: The review recorded that if the project is to proceed at a cost greater than the approved allocation then additional funding would be required, and that pathways existed to access the funding. It recommended updating the NZTA Board and seeking early direction in progressing the project in light of the current scope and likely cost. The estimated cost had not been finalised at the time of the review.
