Hon Andrew Bayly: On 29 February 2024, I requested the banking sector introduce a number of measures to protect consumers against scams. I am considering whether further measures to address scams may be appropriate in New Zealand, following my visits to Australia and Singapore where I observed their approaches to addressing scams.
