37995 (2025). Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: How many reintegration or transitional housing services, if any, currently receive Corrections funding in the South Island as of August 2025?
Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Corrections operates supported accommodation and reintegration service contracts as a national network. I am further advised that there are currently 17 contracts for Corrections-funded reintegration and supported accommodation services that are contract managed by Corrections exclusively for the South Island. I am further advised that there may also be other providers with which Corrections contracts on a national basis, that provide services in the South Island. To provide you with a complete list of services that operate in the South Island, including those that are managed and also delivered elsewhere, would require further manual analysis of a large number of contracts, which I am not prepared to ask of my officials for the purposes of this response.
