Hon Jan Tinetti to the Acting Minister for Women: Does the Minister agree with Dr Asha Sundaram that, "gender stereotypes or cultural norms can generate unequal effects among genders when the economy hits turbulent times," if so what advice, if any, has the Minister requested outlining approaches that can mitigate this?

Hon Louise Upston: I have not received advice on the findings of research by Dr Asha Sandaram. Issues that impact on women such as women’s employment will be monitored through the Government’s Jobseeker support target, and other initiatives such as addressing the gender pay gap.
