37890 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister for Rail: Further to the reply to written question 37238 (2026), has he personally been informed of the review, as distinct from his office; if so, on what date and by whom?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: Yes, by my private secretary. As noted in the reply to 37238 (2026), the Chair of Ferry Holdings advised my Private Secretary after the review was commissioned in May. We do not have a record of the exact date, but clearly it followed 11 May 2026 when Ferry Holdings took the decision. We have asked Ferry Hodings to provided an update to the Ministers once the review has concluded, and this will occur once it is completed.
