Tangi Utikere to the Minister for Rail: Further to the reply to written question 37232 (2026), how many Ferry Holdings Ltd contracts have been varied since 1 April 2025, and what is the total value of those variations; if he does not hold this information, will he request it from Ferry Holdings Ltd, and if not, why not?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: No, we will not request an itemised breakdown of the value of every variation. Our expectation is that Ferry Holdings delivers our approved scope of work and that the taxpayer share does not exceed $1.704 billion, not managing the day-to-day decisions taken by the board or chief executive.
