37849 (2026). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: In response to Reply 35202 (2026), will Artificial Intelligence (AI) be used to design and/or write any of the nine new industry-led subjects?

Hon Erica Stanford: The development of industry-led subjects will be led by Industry Skills Boards (ISBs) in line with the Ministry’s curriculum design criteria. While this does not explicitly reference the use of artificial intelligence (AI), AI may be used to support aspects of the curriculum development process, such as analysing and synthesising information from international curricula and related educational frameworks. Curriculum content itself is developed by people and is not authored by AI.
