37817 (2024). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister of Health: Is the Minister looking at transitioning the Kenepuru Hospital after-hours A & M clinic to a virtual service?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that Health New Zealand is exploring options for how best to continue delivering overnight healthcare and advice for the communities that use Kenepuru Accident and Medical Clinic. This involves utilising all avenues open to Health NZ to fill overnight roster shifts where it can, and exploring the feasibility of a virtual service to ensure continuity of service on occasions where Health NZ are unable to fill the overnight roster between 10.00pm and 8.00am.
