37800 (2024). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: How, if at all, will Kāinga Ora finance the building of new public homes after 30 June 2025?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora currently finances the building of new social housing through its existing debt headroom. The Kāinga Ora board has been tasked with delivering a Financial Performance Plan by November 2024 to improve its financial performance and eliminating losses as quickly as possible. I am expecting the plan to cover investment scenarios, approach to Treasury and liquidity management practices and detailed implementation plans.
