37798 (2024). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: Has Kāinga Ora had to put a hold on contract negotiations with any builders or developers since the recent budget announcement and if so, how many such contracts are not currently progressing?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – advises me that it is currently working through its uncommitted pipeline of around 2,000 homes for FY25 deliveries on a region-by-region basis to ensure FY25 targets are met. All contracted work with construction already underway is still going ahead. Specific developments are operational matters for Kainga Ora. At any point in time there will be a range of projects being rephased or paused or not proceeding due to a range of factors.
