37775 (2026). Hon Marama Davidson to the Minister of Conservation: Is the Department of Conservation considering including Kaikoura Blue Penguins in tranche 2 of the HPAI (highly pathogenic avian influenza) vaccine roll-out?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised that the Department of Conservation is not currently considering kororā / little blue penguins for vaccination for H5 bird flu as the species is not nationally threatened.
