37736 (2024). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: What action, if any, has he taken to look at changes to legislation "so that it’s very clear and it makes it much easier for police to be able to seize vehicles and they won't get them back"?

Hon Mark Mitchell: The Minister of Transport has responsibility for relevant legislation and I am due to meet with him to discuss opportunities to strengthen available responses in the near future. I have also sought initial advice from my officials on potential options to strengthen Police’s response to unlawful vehicle offending. I am advised my officials are engaging with Ministry of Transport officials to progress this work.
