37690 (2026). Mike Davidson to the Minister of Internal Affairs: Does the Minister consider it a failure of Fire and Emergency New Zealand management that ongoing strike action from the NZPFU has not been addressed and settled?

Hon Brooke van Velden: No. Strike action is a lawful part of collective bargaining however I would rather see the NZPU return to the bargaining table and work towards an agreement.
