Francisco Hernandez to the Minister responsible for the NZSIS: What graduate programmes, if any, have been established in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, since 27 November 2023 and when, if ever, was that graduate programme established?

Hon Judith Collins: The NZSIS has not established any new graduate programmes since 27 November 2023. However, the NZSIS’ existing graduate programme was first established in December 2022. The NZSIS participated in the Ethnic Communities graduate programme, first established by the Office of the Ethnic Communities within the Department of Internal Affairs in December 2020. Implementation of the programme was led by the Ministry of Ethnic Communities following its establishment, with the first intake commencing in July 2021.
