37606 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: Has the Ministry of Education undertaken any assessment of whether the current $3 per meal cap is commercially viable for suppliers in 2026; if so, what were the results of the assessment?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised that the School Lunch Collective has delivered over 11.7 million nutritious lunches so far this school year, which has demonstrated the $3 per meal is viable in 2025. The outcome of the Request for Proposal (RFP) will determine if the $3 price point is still viable for suppliers in 2026.
