37604 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 on the proposed action ‘all Districts have District, regional and national acute care accountability mechanisms in place by the end of February 2024’ under ‘Strategic Priority Area 2: Leadership and accountability’ within Te Whatu Ora’s ‘Acute Care Plan 2024’?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter a performance and accountability framework was developed and implemented. I am further advised that each of the districts have a Group Director of Operations or an identified Senior Responsible Officer accountable to lead its acute flow improvement programme. In addition, a governance structure has been established and implemented to provide oversight and accountability for acute flow.
