37591 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 on the proposed action ‘acquire necessary immediate, interim baseline programme management and change resource to support Acute Care programme of work at a regional and District level’ under ‘Strategic Priority Area 4: Establish high performing ‘teams of teams’’ within Te Whatu Ora’s ‘Acute Care Plan 2024’?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, the Hospital and Specialist Services (H&SS) and Service Improvement and Innovation (SI&I) directorates have provided baseline programme management and change resource to support acute care at a regional and district level. The two directorates are working collaboratively. I am further advised that SI&I’s Improve team has placed improvement teams in nine of the districts to provide change support to the acute care programme. In addition, they have “out reached” to support a further six districts. I am finally advised that all districts identified for intensive support have improvement/change resource allocated to support the district plans. The resource is allocated across the four regions.
