Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the last three months to 10 June 2024 to target international recruitment activity at professions with greatest shortages in Aotearoa, such as ATs, psychiatrists, intensive care and radiation oncologists?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that as of February 2024, 693 candidates have been employed by Health New Zealand. Health NZ's International Recruitment Centre (IRC) have undertaken recruitment campaigns for Critical Care and Radiation Oncologists.
