Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the last three months to 10 June 2024 to sustain investment in the Return to Nursing programme, with a focus on New Zealand trained nurses and internationally qualified nurses already in New Zealand?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that in the three months to 10 June 2024, Health New Zealand sustained investment in the Return to Nursing Support Fund by providing up to a maximum of $5,000 per applicant. I am also advised that since September 2022, 150 applications have been approved.
