37505 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the last 3 months to 10 June 2024 to expand existing leadership initiatives for Pacific nurses, to support growing a diverse cohort of nurse leaders?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that in the last three months to 10 June 2024, Pacific Health Scholarships continue to be an avenue for the nursing workforce to access. Of the 319 approved scholarships in the 2024 round, nursing (113) accounted for the largest portion of approved applications. This was an increase of 60% compared to the 2023 round.
