37498 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, has Te Whatu Ora taken in the last three months to 10 June 2024 to improve pay and conditions for Kaiawhina?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that the majority of the workforces involved in services in hospitals are currently in negotiations or will be entering negotiations in the near future. The workforce involved in maintenance trades and related services received a 2-year settlement which entailed an increase of $4,000 in the first year effective 17 April 2023 and a further increase of 3% from 17 April 2024.
