37415 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for the Public Service: Does the Minister intend that the Public Service Amendment Bill will enable performance pay for Chief Executives?

Hon Judith Collins: I am advised that changes to the Act are not needed to enable performance pay. The Public Service Commission has been engaging with Public Service Chief Executives, the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, and I as the Minister for the Public Service to design an approach to implement performance pay for Public Service Chief Executives. Final decisions are still pending.
