37388 (2024). Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: Does he stand by his statement that “That’s a big part of working, for example, with iwi and hapū as well. When you’ve got 50% of your population that are Māori coming back out, having that iwi/hapū support and leadership is actually really helpful”, if so, does he think it’s helpful to remove the Treaty provisions in the Corrections Amendment Bill?
Hon Mark Mitchell: Yes. No treaty provisions have been removed from existing legislation.
