37364 (2024). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: What evidence, if any, has the Minister seen regarding UNRWA staff being involved in the attack on Israel by Hama on 7 October 2023?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: The Government takes very seriously the allegations that several UNRWA staff were involved in Hamas’ terrorist attacks on Israel on 7 October 2023. These allegations are subject to an independent investigation by the United Nations Office of Internal Oversight Services. This is the appropriate forum for considering any evidence to substantiate the allegations and advise on an appropriate response.
