37360 (2026). Ingrid Leary to the Minister of Health: How many Easy Read complaints or feedback forms have been completed and received by Health New Zealand in each of the last three financial years, broken down by year, region or district, and hospital, where that information is held?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that Easy Read complaints and feedback forms are not widely used by Health New Zealand districts, and most districts that do use it do not capture the data requested. I am further advised that Lakes District uses Easy Read forms and has recorded the following feedback or complaints: • 161 in 2023/24 (Complaints – 84, Feedback – 21, Compliments – 56) • 210 in 2024/25 (Complaints – 88, Feedback – 19, Compliments – 103) • 278 in 2025/26 (Complaints – 79, Feedback – 36, Compliments – 163)
