Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Energy: How many staff, if any, in headcount terms did the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, have on 1 July 2024 and how many of these staff, if any, were union members?

Hon Simon Watts: "As Minister of Energy, I have no responsibility for any government departments or Ministries. With regard to Crown entities under the energy portfolio the EA and EECA: [EA] I am advised that the Electricity Authority reports financial year data as at 30 June of each year and that data from 1 July of each year is not held in a readily retrievable format. Please see the attached table for total permanent and fixed-term employees and total employees that have PSA deductions set up in their payroll system as at 30 June for the past six financial years. To note, this only includes union members who have their PSA deduction set up in the payroll system. [EECA] At 1 July 2024, EECA had a headcount of 113 staff, 46 of who were union members."
