37277 (2026). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Does he stand by his statement of 2 July that he is taking the matter of AUT findings of airborne asbestos in children's sand products "seriously"; if so, what actions, if any, has he taken in the last 7 weeks?

Cameron Brewer: Yes. I have sought and received advice from officials on potential actions that may be taken in response to asbestos-contaminated sand products. I have been actively considering that advice and expect to make an announcement on my response shortly.
