Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Does he agree with Consumer New Zealand that for many products sold online, there has been no independent testing before they reach New Zealand homes; if so, does the Government's changes to toy standards include online sales?

Cameron Brewer: The proposed toy safety regulations apply to toys supplied in New Zealand regardless of the sales channel through which they are sold. This includes toys sold online where New Zealand consumer and product safety laws apply.
