37243 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Māori Development: How many staff, if any, in headcount terms did the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, have on 1 July 2023 and how many of these staff, if any, were union members?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised by Te Puni Kōkiri that Te Kawa Mataaho annually releases headcount numbers as at 30 June in the Public Service here: https://www.publicservice.govt.nz/data/workforce-data/data-drilldown . I am also advised by Te Puni Kōkiri that as at 30 June 2023, 188 kaimahi were union members.
