37217 (2026). Rachel Boyack to the Minister for Tourism and Hospitality: How much funding, if any, is currently held by the Major Events Fund?

Hon Louise Upston: The multi-year appropriation is from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2027 and it has a total budget of $116.301 million. This includes a funding uplift in 2025/26 to support Major Event and Tourism Package initiatives including $40.0 million for the one-off Event Attraction Package and $10.0 million for the one-off Event Boost Fund. The total spent in the multi-year appropriation to 31 July 2026 is $54.460 million leaving $61.841 million for 2026/27. The remaining balance is across the Major Events Fund, Events Attraction Package and Events Boost Fund, and includes 2026/2027 funding commitments not yet spent.
