Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: The Prime Minister determines the title of scope of each portfolio and determines the allocation of portfolios to Ministers taking into account various matters including the coalition agreements and the government’s priorities. Throughout this process the Prime Minister may seek advice as appropriate from the Cabinet Office and the Policy Advisory Group, business units of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
