37147 (2026). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: Has the Minister read the decision of the Disputes Tribunal which ordered Kmart to pay Christchurch parents $15,185.42 for the costs of asbestos testing and remediation; if so, will he take any action?

Cameron Brewer: I am aware of the decision. It would not be appropriate for me to comment on the specifics of an individual case. Separately, I am considering advice from officials on measures intended to strengthen product safety settings relating to consumer sand products.
