37098 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for the Public Service: What level of involvement, if any, does the Public Service Commissioner have with collective bargaining taking place at Treasury in 2025?

Hon Judith Collins: I am advised that the Public Service Commissioner has delegated responsibility for collective bargaining for staff employed by the Secretary for the Treasury, but remains involved through: - conditions of delegation that require ongoing engagement at key stages of bargaining, and - through the general support and assistance that is provided to all agencies in bargaining from the Public Service Commission’s employment relations team.
