37055 (2024). Greg O'Connor to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: What employee positions at the Employment Relations Authority, if any, have been paused since 27 November 2023 to date?

Hon Brooke van Velden: Since 27 November 2023, 7 Authority Officer positions and 1 Team Leader position have been disestablished. This was as a direct result of the return of Fair Pay Agreement funding following the repeal of the legislation. The funding provisioned for services relating to the role of the Employment Relations Authority under the Fair Pay Agreements Act 2022, which included the ability to set the terms of a Fair Pay Agreement, support bargaining activities and hear cases regarding breaches. These activities can no longer be undertaken in line with the repeal of the legislation. Authority Members have not been included in the figures as they are not employees.
