37053 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Housing: How many houses, if any, were proposed for the Cardiff Street and Ferguson Street, Awapuni, Palmerston North vacant land?

Hon Chris Bishop: As part of Kāinga Ora's turn around plan they reviewed social housing projects to make sure it was getting best value for money and delivering houses in the areas of greatest need. The proposed social housing projects in Palmerston North were not progressed as they were not in the right location or the right type of development to meet need or did not meet Kāinga Ora’s financial metrics. I refer the Member to the table attached. This is also my reply to WPQs 37054, 37055, 37056, 37057, 37058, 37059 and 37060 (2025).
