37044 (2024). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for the Environment: Is the Minister aware of the sewage leak in Titahi Bay from the Porirua Wastewater Treatment Plant, if not, why not?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I was not aware of these sewage discharges until they were publicly reported on. Local authorities are responsible for the operation of their wastewater infrastructure and the management of discharges.
