37014 (2026). Arena Williams to the Minister for Building and Construction: As Building and Construction Minister, does he have any plan to increase female participation in construction trades; if yes, what actions does he intend to take?

Hon Simon Watts: I am focused on measures that strengthen the whole construction sector and make trades more attractive as careers, with pathways into work. This includes reforms to create a stronger, more consistent pipeline of work and lift productivity so the industry can offer better opportunities. These steps will encourage more young people to enter roles across the trades.
