37014 (2024). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Education: When can schools expect the refreshed curriculum to be released?

Hon Erica Stanford: I recently provided communications to schools and kura on the timelines for the refreshed New Zealand Curriculum (NZC) and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa (TMoA). The NZC and TMoA are being refreshed in phases and the NZC English, mathematics and statistics, science, and technology learning areas will be available for use from Term 4, 2024. The curriculum framework and all other remaining learning areas are planned to be available for use from Term 4, 2025. Schools and kura have until the beginning of 2027 to start using the fully refreshed NZC and TMoA.
