37012 (2025). Ricardo Menéndez March to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: Does she support increasing the amount people can receive via the Civil Defence Payment; if not, why not?

Hon Louise Upston: There are no plans to make changes to Civil Defence Payments. There is already a considerable amount of flexibility with Civil Defence Payments to ensure people get support during a crisis. These are an important part of our hardship assistance offerings.
