37008 (2025). Lan Pham to the Minister for Resources: Further to Reply 34914, what is the benefit for the government of the $200m set aside in Budget 2025 to invest in gas fields?

Hon Shane Jones: I refer the Member to my response to questions 37006 and 37007 and note that the funds are designed to shore up New Zealand’s energy security to avoid the risk of future blackouts and brownouts. This will benefit all New Zealanders.
