37007 (2025). Lan Pham to the Minister for Resources: Further to Reply 34914, is the intention of the $200m set aside in Budget 2025 to achieve a public policy goal related to de-risking investment by private investors in gas exploration and supply?

Hon Shane Jones: This Government does not consider de-risking investment to be the public policy goal: supporting New Zealand’s energy security and keeping the lights on for Kiwi families and businesses is our priority and we are focused on unblocking the obstacles to that.
