36994 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Associate Minister of Education: Has the labelling, if there has been any, on school lunches been changed since 27 November 2023; if so, in what manner was it changed?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that all suppliers for the school lunches programme meet the Ministry of Primary Industries’ (MPI) labelling requirements, which can be found at https://www.mpi.govt.nz/food-business/labelling-composition-food-drinks/. Any food notice or labelling guidance issued by MPI, such as plain English allergen labelling (PEAL), is followed by all suppliers in the programme.
