36979 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: Further to her reply to Question 33551 (2025), has WorkSafe been working with NZTA on how they will report back to WorkSafe on the outcomes of their assessments of the sites reported to them through the road cone hotline and if so, will those reports include the number of road cones removed?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised that WorkSafe New Zealand is working closely with NZTA and other road controlling authorities (RCAs) to build a reporting system that will enable RCAs to provide follow-up reporting to WorkSafe on the outcomes of their site assessments. The specific details of what will be reported back to WorkSafe will be refined over time.
