36971 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Does NZTA pay maintenance project contractors for their use of road cones for temporary traffic management and if so, what was the average cost of one road cone during the past year?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised by NZTA that temporary traffic management (TTM) is purchased as a complete service from planning, approvals, and operations. It is not possible to quantify the costs of a single road cone.
