36911 (2024). Hon Peeni Henare to the Minister of Police: What correspondence, if any, has the Minister or their Office sent or received with Bay of Plenty Regional Council or its representatives, during the period 27 November 2023 to 5 June 2024, listed by title and date sent/received?

Hon Mark Mitchell: As Minister of Police, I often interact with Councils and Mayors regarding matters which relate to the Police Portfolio. The information requested is not readily available and would require considerable effort to assemble. The time and associated cost in obtaining this information are not, in my view, justifiable. I would be prepared to reconsider this if the member wishes to be more specific about the information he requires.
